&

LEGISLATIVE DAY

Sheraton Grand Sacramento

Tel: (916) 341-3618

February 19th, 20th & 21st

CTTA

The Board of Directors voted to combine the February Quarterly Board Meeting and the Association’s Annual Legislative Day. Tentatively, the Board of Directors has agreed to the concept of holding the Association’s Legislative Day in concert with this Quarterly Meeting, every year.

Due to the size and potential expense of this event, the Board of Directors also voted to request support from each of the chapters. As of this writing, I have confirmed contributions (at $10.00 per member) from DESERT, LOS ANGELES, NORTH STATE, PALOMAR, SAN JOAQUIN, and TRI-COUNTIES. I anticipate 100% participation by all the chapters and significant numbers of delegates from around the state.

We are also requesting sponsorships from our associate members who believe in what we do and would like to contribute. LAURA RITTER, RITI’ER CONSULTANTS INC. is coordinating this part of our fund raising endeavor. If you are an Associate Member and would like to contribute and participate in this event, please contact Laura at (310) 397-5436.

Tentative Activities:

Tour of the Capitol and meet your legislators

See the Senate and Assembly in session

    Tour the Governors Mansion

    Tour Old Town Sacramento

Cocktail reception with Legislators/Transportation Committee Member(s)

    Admin/Leg/Education Committee Meetings

    Quarterly Board Meeting

Lunch and/or dinner reception with Legislators, DMV, CHP representatives (Q & A session)

These are examples of what we are working onto present to our group. We look forward to everyone participating. The more people we have in attendance, the larger the impact we make on the legislators. Please try to participate and be apart of the process.

The reason we are having this meeting scheduled on a Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday is because we need to conform to the schedules of the Assembly and Senate. They leave town on Thursday, and we must make their participation with our group as convenient as possible.

IMPORTANT: WE WILL BE HOLDING OUR ANNUAL ELECTION FOR 1st THROUGH 4th VICE PRESIDENTS AS WELL AS SECRETARY AND TREASURER. PLEASE ATTEND AND CAST YOUR VOTE.
